PITCOM

The Parliamentary Information Technology Committee, on which the IAP has two places, meets roughly once a month. It provides an important opportunity for us to get our views into the political arena and, conversely, to gain greater understanding of the political imperatives. As a rule, Council members occupy our places but there are occasions when there is a spare seat, as it were. If you are interested in going along as an IAP representative, contact the office in the first instance. The dates of meetings for the first quarter of 2004 are:

Monday, 26 January: ‘The Citizen and the Card’

Monday, 9 February: AGM followed by PITCOM reception in the House of Lords

Monday 22 March: ‘Business Out-sourcing Policies’

All meetings start at 6.00 p.m. at the House of Commons. In addition, there is one remaining meeting in this year:

24 November: ‘Regime Change’ The Need to Transform Attitudes in Central and Local Government’ followed by the Annual Dinner in the House of Lords.
