VSJ – December 2001 – Notice Board

Student Placements

Amit Kumar is currently completing a MSc Internet Computing degree. He already has IT skills in Java, Web design and some Web development. He would like to gain 3 months’ experience (at least) preferably working as a Web developer/Web designer. Ideally, the work would form a project that would be suitable for submission as Amit’s MSc final year thesis. He is looking to work in the London area from June-August 2002.

If you can help Amit, please email me, Robin Jones, at eo@iap.org.uk and I’ll put you in touch with him.

I thought that might get your attention. UKISHELP is a ‘one-stop’ service designed to promote the participation of UK companies in EU Information Society programmes by offering advice and support.  It provides a single point of contact for companies and organisations wishing to take their first steps in bidding for grant finance for new projects. Companies and organisations already familiar with European Union Information Society programmes will also benefit from the resource. The website (www.ukishelp.co.uk) and telephone support line (0870 606 1515) are now established. In total, there’s more than £2 billion available in grants to support innovative operational projects. Could your company benefit?
