PITCOM
The Parliamentary Information Technology Committee, on which the IAP has two places, meets roughly once a month. It provides an important opportunity for us to get our views into the political arena and, conversely, to gain greater understanding of the political imperatives. As a rule, Council members occupy our places but there are occasions when there is a spare seat, as it were. If you are interested in going along as an IAP representative, contact the office (020 8 567 2118 or email admin@iap.org.uk) in the first instance. The dates of meetings for the first quarter of 2004 are:
Monday, 26 January:
‘The Citizen and the Card’
Monday, 9 February:
AGM followed by PITCOM reception in the House of Lords
Monday 22 March:
‘Business Out-sourcing Policies’
All meetings start at 6.00 p.m. at the House of Commons. In addition, there is one remaining meeting in this year:
24 November:
‘Regime Change – The Need to Transform Attitudes in Central and Local Government’ followed by the Annual Dinner in the House of Lords.
