VSJ – October 2000 – Members’ News

The Oxford University Software Engineering Centre was opened on 30th June.  An historic building in the heart of Oxford, it has been sensitively restored and equipped as a high-quality teaching centre. This was made possible through its recognition by the Government as a Centre of Excellence leading to support from the DfEE, with additional funding from the Kellogg Foundation and Mr and Mrs R Saldich.  The centre provides a focus for the Software Engineering Programme which teaches part-time Masters level courses in Software Engineering and Object Technology. This programme has IAP recognition and attracts IAP membership points.  For details of the programme, whose modules can be taken independently or combined to form a range of postgraduate qualifications, contact Maureen York on 01865 283521/ 286951 or at maureen.york@conted.ox.ac.uk
