In 1987 John moved to local government and spent 10 years there before moving on again into Insurance, then into the financial sector, designing and writing software for the management ISAs, Savings Bonds and Child Trust Funds.
Parallel to the work above, John founded his own IT and Management Consultancy, Wellis Technology, which he still runs today, primarily writing systems for small businesses. In addition Wellis Technology also runs the administration for several other companies.
