Interim Membership

IAP Interim Membership provides IT professionals, genuinely seeking election to one of the Institution’s grades, a taste of membership, while their application is peer-reviewed to asses calibre and ability to contribute to the IAP and its members. Any IT professional who has not previously been a member of the IAP may apply, once only and for a maximum of four months.

IAP Interim Membership is not a formal grade and confers no right to the use of any post-nominal or designatory letters. The IAP is a company limited by guarantee under English law. This implies certain rights and responsibilities for its members who have completed the application and election process. These rights and responsibilities are NOT conferred on interim members.

An IAP Interim Member must agree to conform to the IAP Code of Conduct.

LINKEDIN

An IAP Interim Member may join the IAP LinkedIn group. Contributions from interim members are welcomed, encouraged and they will be used to inform the subsequent election process.

Please note that the IAP reserves the right to remove an interim member from the LinkedIn group without reason or notice and in any case at the termination of the four-month interim membership period, if elected membership has not been sought during this period. Elected members may post to LinkedIn without moderation. Contributions will be moderated and posted only if considered appropriate by the Executive Director or other officer of the IAP to whom responsibility has been delegated and are at their discretion.

Please note that the Interim Membership scheme is currently being piloted and may be withdrawn at our discretion.
