Improving Software for Society
What We Do
The IAP help members of the public seek to enter the IT profession, provide technical assistance and share information about the Institution and its members.
ENTERING THE IT PROFESSION
The IAP can advise generally on careers that are open to those with skills in systems analysis and programming. While the Institution can offer general advice on training courses and qualifications, it is in a position to recommend certain courses run by Partner organizations. These are universities and private training colleges offering courses specifically designed for those wishing to establish a career in software development. All these courses provide points towards IAP membership; some give immediate entry as GradIAP.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
Members of the IAP are skilled in every aspect of software design and work in all areas of business and industry. Many are available for consulting assignments and their details will be found in our Register of Consultants. We are pleased to be able to provide confirmation of the grades of membership and other qualifications of its members in response to bona-fide enquiries from clients, employers, colleges and members of the public.
COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE (COP)
