Women in Technology
Why aren’t women getting into the IT and Technology professions and what we can do to encourage more to do so. We look at the work of Margaret Elaine Hamilton, American computer scientist, who directed the Software Engineering Division at the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory and led development of the on-board flight software for NASA’s Apollo Guidance Computer for the Apollo program, and Grace Brewster Hopper, an American computer scientist and mathematician, and United States Navy rear admiral who was a pioneer of computer programming.
