Trustee Board

The Trustee Board of the Institution is the organisation’s ultimate governing body and is led by the President. It regularly meets four times a year in London or online (as appropriate) and at such other times as is necessary.

Much of the work of the Trustee Board is delegated to its committees:-

  • Audit and Risk Committee
  • Nominations and Appointments Committee
  • Remuneration Committee
  • President’s Committee
  • Membership Committee
  • Disciplinary Committee
  • Professional Standards Committee

Trustee Board delegates the management of the Institution to the Director General and the Executive Board.

Members of the Trustee Board are trustees of the Institution and must fulfil their obligations in terms of the Charity Act 2011.

Trustees are also automatically appointed as directors of the company and have the same duties and obligations as any director under the Companies Act 2006.
